The Ursarax are brutal close-combat constructs engineered for rapid assault and overwhelming melee engagements. Unlike mindless servitors, these warriors are made from selected human candidates who have been heavily modified but retain just enough of their former minds to function with deadly instinct. Clad in resilient armour and propelled by jump boosters, the Ursarax are built to slam into the enemy line and tear through it with precision and ferocity.

Product Features

This multi-part plastic kit builds six Ursarax, a fast, deadly melee unit for Mechanicum armies. These cybernetic shock troops excel at high-speed close-quarters fighting and are ideal for hunting down vulnerable enemy units or causing disruption behind enemy lines.

Each Ursarax is equipped with jump boosters to close the distance quickly and armed with volkite incinerators for short-range fire support before crashing into melee. Most of the squad wields vicious lightning claws, perfect for cutting down heavily armoured foes. Two models can be built with power fists instead, offering an alternative loadout for smashing through tougher targets.

The kit also includes various decorative and mechanical components, allowing you to give each model a distinctive appearance. A Mechanicum Constructs transfer sheet is included to further personalise your force.

Assembly and Painting

Supplied unassembled and unpainted, these models can be constructed using Citadel Plastic Glue and painted with Citadel Colour paints. The kit includes plenty of fine mechanical detail and customisation options, making it an engaging project for hobbyists who enjoy building complex, characterful miniatures.

Battlefield Role

In games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Ursarax provide your Mechanicum army with a hard-hitting close-combat unit capable of high-speed strikes. Their jump packs allow them to bypass terrain and reach key targets quickly, while their powerful weapons make them a threat to both infantry and more heavily armoured foes.

They can also serve as allies in Legiones Astartes or Solar Auxilia armies, giving those forces access to a brutal melee unit that can operate independently and cause disruption deep in enemy territory.
