The Karacnos Assault Tank is a relentless war engine engineered by the Mechanicum to cleanse battlefield zones mercilessly. Built upon the reliable Triaros chassis, it forgoes transport capacity in favour of a devastating mortar battery loaded with Karacnos radiological warheads. These weapons saturate target areas with deadly radiation, annihilating all organic life and rendering the field ready for Mechanicum reclamation.

Product Features

This multi-part plastic kit builds one Karacnos Assault Tank, a dedicated artillery platform for Mechanicum armies in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. It can also be included as an allied unit in Legiones Astartes or Solar Auxilia forces, offering powerful area-denial capabilities and thematic battlefield control.

The model is armed with a battery of Karacnos warheads mounted in a rear mortar assembly that can be built in either an open or closed configuration. Optional parts equip the tank with up to two hunter-killer missiles, giving it additional anti-armour capability. The hull features finely detailed Mechanicum markings and tech components, and the model is fully compatible with other vehicles in the Triaros lineage.

A Mechanicum Macro-constructs transfer sheet is included for further personalisation, with a wide selection of faction and unit markings.

Assembly and Painting

This kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. We recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue for construction and Citadel Colour paints to bring out the tank’s mechanical detail, worn armour, and brutal weaponry. The option to build the mortar bay open or closed offers display variety, making this a striking and thematic centrepiece in any Mechanicum collection.

Battlefield Role

The Karacnos Assault Tank brings overwhelming indirect firepower to the battlefield. Its radiological warheads are designed to decimate infantry and render terrain impassable to organic troops, making it ideal for denying key positions to the enemy.
