The Phoenix Guard are the silent sentinels of the Shrine of Asuryan, standing watch over the most sacred site in Ulthuan. Grim and unyielding, these warriors are touched by divine purpose and strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. Clad in ornate plate armour and bearing tall halberds, they march into battle with a cold, unwavering resolve, their silence more terrifying than any war cry. Few can match their discipline or endurance on the battlefield.
Product Features
This multi-part plastic kit builds 20 Phoenix Guard, elite infantry for High Elf Realms armies in games of Warhammer: The Old World. These stoic warriors are constructed to hold the line, resist enemy charges with stubborn determination, and punish counterattacks.
The models can be assembled as a single large unit of 20 or split into two units of 10, each with the option to include a champion, standard bearer, and musician. The champion can be assembled by pointing with either a sword or a finger, and the standard bearer includes two different banner toppers. Interchangeable heads allow for easy customisation, giving each unit a unique look while maintaining the Phoenix Guard’s unified appearance.

Assembly and Painting

The interchangeable components make adding variety across the ranks easy while keeping a cohesive formation.
Battlefield Role
Phoenix Guard is among the most durable units available to High Elf commanders, ideal for forming the core of a battle line. Their heavy armour, halberds, and divine presence make them difficult to shift and dangerous to engage. Positioned well, they can hold key objectives or form the centrepiece of a defensive formation.
Elite troops can anchor your army while lighter or more mobile units manoeuvre around the enemy. Their fearsome reputation and supernatural aura can also be a psychological weapon, drawing enemy focus and breaking enemy morale.
